This community is dedicated to the challenges that gay men and lesbian women face, both between the partners in a relationship and from other influences (family, society, etc.). Find support and talk to others who may be facing the same challenges, and share your experience.
I currently have a facebook account and both of my parents now know that I like women.
I have been hiding all of my friends comments as well as my relationship status from my mom since she has a facebook account too and she is not happy with what she believes to be my "decision".
I am engaged to this wonderful woman, but have been too afraid to tell my mom because I know she will blame this "decision" on her. I would like to not hide anything from her or anyone for that matter.
The reason I have it this way is because I don't want her to think I am rubbing it in her face and I don't want her to accuse my fiance of pushing me, because I knew I liked women since I was in kindergarden which was LONG before I met my fiance.
I just don't know if I should keep things the way they are and feel guilty that she can't read anything from my friends or if I should just let her view everything and let her feel awful that it's there in front of her face.
Suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

You shouldn't have to hide everything from your parents on Facebook. It's not rubbing it in her face. You're just posting on a website. You're not sending her all the links and forcing her to look at it all. If she doesn't like to see it, she doesn't have to.
The thing about it is that the build up is almost always worst than the actual situation. You already did the hard part, coming out. This is the next step and when she gets over it, she'll be really glad the two of you are close.
