Colorectal cancer, also called colon cancer or bowel cancer, includes cancerous growths in the colon, rectum and appendix. Many colorectal cancers are thought to arise from mushroom-like growths that are usually benign, but some may develop into cancer over time. The majority of the time, the diagnosis of localized colon cancer is through colonoscopy.
One time, maybe on this site, someone asked if I think about cancer everyday. (I had surgery and chemo 2 years ago.) I said yes. But I just realized this week now I can say no. I actually think there were a few days this week I forgot. Now you are going to laugh, I was too busy being stressed about what to do with the rest of my life (career wise)! How ironic.

I'm glad you are at that point Kate. I just stared the journey and can't wait to get to that. Since no one has asked me that before and never thought about it, but my answer would be an unfortunate yes. Good luck with your search on a new career and hope you find one with minimal to no stress:)

I know Kate even I sometimes have days when it's something with the kids or house or just anything when I just am too busy to think about the cancer, sure it always lives in the corner of the back of my mind and probably always will, but wow what a break when it just sits there and doesn't creep up to the forefront of my thoughts.

i also had chemo and surgery two years ago, i too no longer think about it everyday. I also dont come on this site as much. When i first joined Ds it was to get support, but now i just come on here to offer support and check in how Ds friends are doing. Ive found the best way to beat this cruel disease is to try and get back on with your life. Life may never be the same but its about making a new normal for yourself. best wishes to you

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
