SO sorry to hear that. I know the feeling and I have only been on 2 rounds so I am pretty sure it is worse one your doze gets increased. How about just taking a break and resuming when you feel all better?

Treatment #5 Dr reduced Oxi 20% because my Platelets were low. Treatment #6 Platelets were still low (he said not as low) but decided not to give me any oxi just leucovorin and 5-Fu. I have had two shots of Pegfilgrastim for my white count did not have to have a shot this time. I did not have as many side effects with this treatment as I had had before. My new worry is my liver #'s were off some so Dr is going to run some scans on July 1 to see if anything is going on with my liver. We just have to keep praying and stay positive!! :)

Sunngablue, do you still have your gallbladder? Lots of people end up with gall bladder problems after cc surgery. I sure did and had to have it removed in the middle of my chemo tx's.

My onc reduced Oxi by 50% last time (11th treatment) after my complaints about numb feet. he also said if I don't feel better we would not do Oxi next time.
But frankly I feel a little better with 50% Oxi dose.

I do have my gallbladder have not had any pain or problems.
Dr did tell me he would reduce oxi to 30% but after that it would not do any good. I'm trying to stay positive just nervous about scans next wed. I have been feeling good had no neuropathy. I would like to have some more oxi if my body can take it. Not that I like it just know it's my best shot!!

Hi GG, tough decision yeah. I can only tell you my experience. I went full dose of Oxi. Mainly because it added to the Gold Star treatment. I was told the Oxi did the most damage to any remaining cancer cells, and if it was an extra 1% I wanted it.

I'm not going to lie, I have neuropathy, and it may be permanent. My fingers have improved (I'm 6 months post chemo now), they don't bother me anymore, but my feet constantly feel like they are embedded in snow, especially the toes, with the bottoms feeling like sandpaper. It's worse now it's winter, and I wear a couple of pairs of socks and do not like having bare feet.

I can still do everything, there is no pain, it's just a sensation, and I have trained my mind to think past it. If I had my time again, I'd still have the full treatment. Please make sure you discuss it all with your Onc though GG. There is no wrong or right decision here, just an informed one. God Bless. Coogee xxx

Hi all, have been very sick last few days, today also. I will be stopping the oxi cause I'm having an alergic reaction to it. My side effects were worse the first two treatments cause I was getting 100% dosage, they got better for the next few treatments cause dosage was reduced to 75%. But this last treatment #6 was just too much. My mouth was numb, tingling, swollen & red face rash, chest tight, hard to breathe, little bloody nose, sneezing, hands and feet burning hot, toes & fingers stabbing needles, swollen, tingling & numb, fingers hurt to do anything and I have been very nauseaded & week these past days. I haven't talked to Dr. yet, apt is on Tue, I will wait until then. I HATE making this decision. I know I should continue, not sure if I can.

I stopped the Oxy in the beginning of the 7th round because of a severe allergic reaction at the beginning of the infusion... my doc said, " you've had a ton of the Oxy... quitting will be fine. " I just began the pill Xeloda to replace the 5FU pack...for the duration... hopes this helps. : )

HI My pretty Dr. mentioned to me a month ago that If I stopped the Oxi it was ok, they will keep me on Leucovorin and 5-FU. Not sure if they will add anything to that or not. She said it is not uncommon that some hafta stop the Oxi. But of course it's better if you can take it. Wish I could.

Hi GG, So sorry you were so sick. I have never had that many side effects. It's just effecting my Platelets. Someone on this post had said once if you can have 4 full treatments of Oxi that is good. Who knows I guess we just keep the faith!!! :) Take care have you in my prayers!
