Colon Cancer Support Group

Colorectal cancer, also called colon cancer or bowel cancer, includes cancerous growths in the colon, rectum and appendix. Many colorectal cancers are thought to arise from mushroom-like growths that are usually benign, but some may develop into cancer over time. The majority of the time, the diagnosis of localized colon cancer is through colonoscopy.

Dear Friends~
I wanted to let the friends of Vonda know that this precious and dear lady lost her life to colon cancer in August.
Thru much searching I was blessed enough to become connected with her daughter.
Vonda was my first friend when I came onto the DS site. She was nothing less then a true inspiration. What a beautiful lady...a true warrior to this disease...also, a Christian lady who relied on him daily until the end.
Now, she is in Heaven...peacefully free of pain. Rest In Peace, my dear friend, Vonda.
Many of us loved hearing from you and were blessed by your grace.
God Bless all of you that have wondered about her and are dealing with a struggle in your life today....let Vonda be a example in your darkest hours.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of Vicki/Vonda. She was such an inspiration to me when I first came to this board. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

A tear of sadness wells up in my eye, a feeling of gratitude touches my heart that I knew her, knowing that she is now free of pain consoles me.

Prayers and thoughts for her family and loved ones, she will be missed.

Thank you so much. She always had very encouraging and uplifting things to say now matter how horrible she was feeling at the time.

I hope to meet her whenever it's my turn....

Thank you Tory for going the distance and finally putting closure to what happened with our vikki.

She will be missed as she was a true beacon of light in this storm we have all gone and are going through. Vikki...We miss you my friend.

Thanks for letting us know Tory. Vicki was an inspiration to me and I loved her positive attitude. She cared so much for others here. I'll keep her family in my prayers tonight and she'll live in our hearts. I can just imagine Vicki and Kad cheering us all on here.

Thanks for letting us know Tori, saddest of news, she was one of the first people who welcomed me to Ds, she always spoke the truth and gave support to so many. She will be greatly missed, condelences to her family and friends, xx

I'm with Jaynie. Vikki was the first one I felt I had a relationship with. Always supportive, positive, and encouraging. Such an inspiration. She is missed and will be remembered by so many of us on DS. Thank you Tory for informing us.
