Many colorectal cancers are thought to arise from mushroom-like growths that are usually benign, but some may develop into cancer over time. The majority of the time, the diagnosis of localized colon cancer is through colonoscopy.

Neuropathy

It's been 5 weeks since my final chemotherapy treatment. I still have that numbness in my fingertips & toes. How long can I expect this to continue?
Secondly, I go in for my 1st follow-up PT Scan tomorrow morning.

jen358, I just don't think I am understanding you? (Are you saying she has a colostomy where she elimanates in a bag?) You say it is bad now and getting worse?
There should be no pain with a colostomy, but something is certainly not right with her insides hurting and making her sick?
It sounds like she needs to see her surgeon or go to a ER because something is surely wrong. Please keep us posted.
