Colorectal cancer, also called colon cancer or bowel cancer, includes cancerous growths in the colon, rectum and appendix. Many colorectal cancers are thought to arise from mushroom-like growths that are usually benign, but some may develop into cancer over time. The majority of the time, the diagnosis of localized colon cancer is through colonoscopy.
Back in the land of the living and hoping to be kicked out of hospital today or tomorrow.
Surgery went well and I was kicked out of IC after a day, but then had bad reactions to post surgery chemo and a painkiller, then picked pneumonia as well, anyway got through all of those and I'm improving in leaps and bounds on a daily basis.
During the surgery they removed a tumour attached to the abdominal wall near where my appendix was, removed several tumours from the surface of the liver and then removed both greater and minor omentum, right side peritoneal lining and my gall bladder. The surgeons are fairly confident that they got it all, histology came back indicating that it was a higher grade tumour but we already knew that. I may benefit from some follow on chemo but that is for discussion with an Onc.
In the meantime I need to get fit again.

I had my omentum removed years ago - good riddance, it's just fat, lol!
We all need to get fitter. Ther is no such thing as "too fit."
