Colon Cancer Support Group
Colorectal cancer, also called colon cancer or bowel cancer, includes cancerous growths in the colon, rectum and appendix. Many colorectal cancers are thought to arise from mushroom-like growths that are usually benign, but some may develop into cancer over time. The majority of the time, the diagnosis of localized colon cancer is through colonoscopy.
I've been a member of this group for some time now, I've known some members who have lost the fight, some still struggling, some got better and some I just don't know, and for that reason just didn't want to be one of the just don't knows.
I am well, I am strong, not quite out of the woods but things are looking good, and feel my time on this site are now limited. Treatments are changing and feel the information I give may not be as up to date and as helpful as newer members I also am at a stage where cancer is an after thought, its no longer a daily struggle, and for those reasons need to close this chapter on my life. I've kicked cancers ass, I've put the issues to bed and need to move forward with my life, my career, my travel plans, my new status as a grandma.
I hope more and more people on this site go through the same process as me and come out the other side, I've met some great friends, some will stay in touch with via other networking, I've been given great advice and support, bestest of wishes and prayers to you all. take care everyone x

thank you for this post. I think it's encouraging to hear about those who can leave this time behind. My husband is 2 years out and our lives have also moved on. My mother had a resection this summer and I'm amazed that at 78 she is back doing the things she did before. Life can move forward and be great.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
