Colorectal cancer, also called colon cancer or bowel cancer, includes cancerous growths in the colon, rectum and appendix. Many colorectal cancers are thought to arise from mushroom-like growths that are usually benign, but some may develop into cancer over time. The majority of the time, the diagnosis of localized colon cancer is through colonoscopy.
We all go through a different journey when we find out we have or a loved one has cancer, but by being a member on this site we find out we all have a lot of similarities. But if you could sum up cancer in one word what would it be, for me it would be "Rollercoaster".

I had no plans on taking a colonoscopy. At the age of 46 my appendix had to be removed, and the doctors told me I need to go for an colonoscopy. If I had waited until I turned 50 I would have never been able to celebrate that birthday. Today I am 52 years old and is blessed to be here. So I tell everyone I am a walking miracle
