Colorectal cancer, also called colon cancer or bowel cancer, includes cancerous growths in the colon, rectum and appendix. Many colorectal cancers are thought to arise from mushroom-like growths that are usually benign, but some may develop into cancer over time. The majority of the time, the diagnosis of localized colon cancer is through colonoscopy.
When I was going through chemo two people I was close to died from colon cancer, at the time everything was going very positive for me.
When these two mates died I started to feel very guilty and felt like a fake because I was getting well whilst they died.
I was speaking to my oncologist during a meeting and I was telling her of the "guilt" I was feeling and she said to me "you know G8, you are not getting well at their expense".
When I heard of Kadija's passing I started to feel the guilt starting to return, my oncologist's words came in my head and they gave me some comfort.

Yeah, we are all getting well to get well and to enjoy life, and to love, not inspite of anyone else... just because we are still here and we are blessed to....
