just wanted to sympathize with you.
I've never failed a class in college, but I failed spanish in high school. i didn't care that much because i hate spanish and my teacher was..not a good teacher. she was sort of like the caricature of evil teachers in high school. but uhmm, yes. if i were you i would study for the class before you take it again. try to get familiar with the concepts, since (as you know) EVERYTHING BUILDS OFF OF PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE (really annoying.)
anyway good luck!
To be honest im a straight student .. been on the deans list 3 years in a row, however when it comes to math, i have major major issues. I flip the numbers all around , upside down. After taking Algebra 6 times and paying out of state tution after my second attempt ( thats the rule, 2 attempts per university, or you have to pay out of state tution for the course) I paid for some testing to be diagnosed with several learning disablitites.
Sometimes you just need a really great professor. I spend lots of time in the math lab and practicing hw problems online and in the book. I prob spend about 2 hours three times a week in the lab. I try and bring my hw there and when I have a question I have someone right there to help me for free!!
If you are at a univ and classes are large and inpersonal, in lecture format, you might try taking it at the local community college and have the credit transfered over to your unviersity when you are finished.
Try and avoid summer classes, b/c they are condensed and resources normally available like tutoring and labs are often cut short over summer hours.
Good luck!!
