Codependency Support Group
Codependency is defined as someone who exhibits too much, and often inappropriate, caring for another person's struggles. A codependent person may try to change, or feel shame about their most private thoughts and feelings if they conflict with the other person's struggles. If you are on a journey towards self-love, this support group is for you. Join us and find others...
I can not speak to the other person, but I would guess it would be very difficult just waiting on the sidelines wondering when things get back to normal.
As difficult as it is for you, please try to be a little understanding. This trying to work on one's codependency is not easy, even when like me I am more or less living on my own. It brings about mental tussles within oneself as to how to deal with things. So I cannot imagine how hard it must be to try to do it while in a relationship. She is possibly not deliberately trying to shut you out, it is that she is really focusing on the issues within herself.
I hope you can hang in there and both work this out together somehow. Try to develop some good communication between you, so you can both understand how you are each feeling about the changes that are taking place. Good luck!
So all the more reason for you to have good communication together, so you can understand how the other one is feeling and what they are going through. Good luck on both of you growing your relationship into a happy and healthy one for you both.
