Codependency Support Group
Codependency is defined as someone who exhibits too much, and often inappropriate, caring for another person's struggles. A codependent person may try to change, or feel shame about their most private thoughts and feelings if they conflict with the other person's struggles. If you are on a journey towards self-love, this support group is for you. Join us and find others...

You're doing great! Keep it up! It's the healthiest "addiction" there is!
I am finding that a lot of "advice", "self-help" literature not only has conflicting messages (e.g. "Keep busy and focus on yourself! But feel your feelings, don't use activity to drown things out!" WTF?) but you can seriously drive yourself BATTY second-guessing and questioning your every thought and every move. If we're not to stay busy and work on ourselves and the things within our control to improve ourselves, then what are we supposed to do? Drown in our own thoughts and in our own heads? Being "too much inside one's own head" is something I am frequently guilty of, and believe me, it offers more conflict and confusion than peace for me.
It sounds like what you did was HEALTHY and positive - good for you! Part of the recovery is learning to trust yourself and to trust you know what's good for you to care for yourself. In fact, you've inspired me to go to the gym today. :D Congratulations to you. :)
