Codependency Support Group
Codependency is defined as someone who exhibits too much, and often inappropriate, caring for another person's struggles. A codependent person may try to change, or feel shame about their most private thoughts and feelings if they conflict with the other person's struggles. If you are on a journey towards self-love, this support group is for you. Join us and find others...

Real big hug!!
Grace and Peace!
You know I have totally stopped going to church because there is no church in this area that embraces my progressive christian beliefs...( not even the popular mega church here in town..they happen to be way more conservative then at first appearance). So I follow my faith on a progressive website and read books from progressive pastors or priests. And it is stressful when you want support from a church ( and to join in with supporting others) but you just can't get behind the church's beliefs.
The better you can learn to identify safe people and what safe boundaries are..which people have to learn thru books or therapy when co-dependent..the more success you'll have in relationships.
You have to wonder about the partners that some of us have had. They may be dysfunctional themselves. I don't think that is it in every case. But I know as I look back it has been in mine. I have chosen to stay our of relationships right now..maybe someday I will go back. But for now my purpose is to work on my recovery and take care of my child.
Good luck with your decisions. Take care
