Codependency Support Group
Codependency is defined as someone who exhibits too much, and often inappropriate, caring for another person's struggles. A codependent person may try to change, or feel shame about their most private thoughts and feelings if they conflict with the other person's struggles. If you are on a journey towards self-love, this support group is for you. Join us and find others...
Sorry. It is tough to have the balloon burst when you think someone is in recovery and they are not.
Hugs,
Shar
If he's relapsed then he's fallen off the wagon himself, you had nothing to do with that. The only person you can change is yourself. You want to change yourself. You are doing things to change yourself. You are evolving and growing.
Hope that helps :)
What your saying is that you didn't want to feel hopeful of change again. You didn't want to feel hope, and then have it dashed by his lies and the reality that nothing has changed.
It's time to completely step away from this relationship for your own well being. It is your choice to get off his merry go round. You DO have control over that.
Waiting for him to change to find your happiness is like playing russian roulette. You can't control which chamber has a bullet in it, therefore you are at the mercy of the game. But, you do have a choice not to play at all.
Control what you can....
If my thoughts didn't make any kind of good sense, I recommend reading this blog: http://codependencyinfo.blogspot.se/
