Hi,
For a long time I had a lot of issues with depression, emotions, was in a really bad relationship w/a family member.
Since doing different forms of treatment, I have improved by leaps and bounds. One of the things that I am starting to sense is an inner shift. I used to be really angry and closed off, but that is changing. I am meeting new and better people all the time. I am doing better, not getting angry at things.
I am starting to feel the need to move on. For no real reason, I feel an inner prompting to go away from certain people. Maybe it's not for no real reason. I wish and desire to spend time with people that I can relate to, whom I feel a sense of 'click' with, a sense of commonality and relatability. It used to be that I was not able to form relationships. I had low and negative energies.
Now, I am meeting people and things are changing. I find myself frustrated by certain people who want to see me on their timetable, who don't enjoy the things that I do. I feel alienated from people who don't have time to talk to me when I need to talk, who don't want to do the same activities that I wish to do, that wish me to mold to their activities. I feel bored and frustrated and wish to move on.
A part of me is fearful of being lonely, but at other times I feel confident, too.
One thing that is bothering me in particular is that my friend's boyfriend keeps calling me to chat. I don't like it. Part of my problem of letting go is that I have separated from my abusive family, so I rely on these other relationships, which aren't too bad, but feel off at times. There are times when I feel if I set the boundary and just cut it cold turkey, that I will be SOL. That is a possibility.
However, I am naturally meeting people with whom I have things in common, and I am starting to feel a sense of connecting and moving forward. Sometimes, I feel like my friend's boyfriend realizes this and is starting to stick to me like glue and call me for nonsense. The time I spend with them, socializing, with just this couple, or him monopolizing my time, prevents me from finding my own relationship. Since I broke up with the last guy I was seeing, he has started to call a lot.
I think I might have met someone at work that I like. I am not to worried about him being from work. But, I don't think I am going to tell some of my friends that I met him. This guy in particular might start increasing his phone calls and attention if he thinks I found a relationship. In a weird way, I am starting to feel this sense of people hanging on. Maybe I am just really independent, but I hate too much time and attention from ome speople. It makes me look down at them with disgust and contempt I know that's bad but it's true.

This guy doesn't sound quite right to me. Why is he so interested in what you're doing? He's not your boyfriend, but your friend's boyfriend. Does your friend know her boyfriend is this way with you? I would distance myself from this guy, especially since it is unwelcomed attention. You need to do what feels right to you. Sometimes people are in our lives for a reason and for a period of time. Perhaps you have gained something from these relationships, but now they have run their course and you need to move on. Sounds to me like you are growing, and that's a good thing. You are recognizing uncomfortable situations and actually trying to distance yourself from them instead of just putting up with them. That is real growth. If this friend has been your friend for a very long time, then perhaps you should have a conversation with her about how her boyfriend makes you feel. She may not be aware of it.
