Codependency Support Group
Codependency is defined as someone who exhibits too much, and often inappropriate, caring for another person's struggles. A codependent person may try to change, or feel shame about their most private thoughts and feelings if they conflict with the other person's struggles. If you are on a journey towards self-love, this support group is for you. Join us and find others...
Keep moving forwards. Just from reading your post, I saw warning signs all over the place! The relationship is toxic! He needs to work through his issues and find closure in his relationship with his ex. He is not ready for another relationship!
Living together for the sake of the kids is not a bad idea in relationships where both mom and dad are strong minded and super mature. But in too many situations it ends badly and the kids have to go through a divorce all over again for the second time.
You deserve better than a toxic relationship! Find better for yourself!!
What struck me is your use of the word, "bargain."
It's like you are grieving for the loss of the relationship. The last step is acceptance and it sounds like you are on the verge.
Sometimes, we need a step backwards to leap forward. I think this may be yours.
Some of the grieving is from my inner child and lott of ptsd issues from past ... taking one day at a time ... I am so glad I know where to go when I need support...
