Codependency Support Group
Codependency is defined as someone who exhibits too much, and often inappropriate, caring for another person's struggles. A codependent person may try to change, or feel shame about their most private thoughts and feelings if they conflict with the other person's struggles. If you are on a journey towards self-love, this support group is for you. Join us and find others...

It is not accurate to view codependency as being connected (co) with any other person or like some co-relationship because it is all in one-self, all alone.
An example might be that in any future BF relationship then you might expect and worry (and react) that the next BF will be just like your ex fiance, even though you did not accept any of his abuse.
Or when you come from an alcoholic home (or family) then you worry and expect the same dysfunctions from any new relationship.
I say the concept of codependency is best explained in this link here:

Welcome here to this group.
Maybe you can help others on here, since you appear to have a solid grounding for your self. IMO.
