This reminds me of something that my sister went through when divorcing her husband. He was constantly trying to call her, send gifts, etc. And what she said to me stuck with me. She said, "This is not about me. This is not about him caring about me, either. This is about him not accepting 'no' and not getting his way. He really does not care about me. He just wants his way and wants to control me again."
Hang in there.

I REALLY appreciate you sharing what your sister said in regards to her situation w/ her ex-husband. I can put that into terms w/ my father and the way he is going about seeing my children and witholding their xmas gifts until they go to his house and do things on his terms! Its so true! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
Thanks gor sharing your sister comments. I have embeded the statements in brain ...
You are both very welcome if what my sister told me helped in some way. (I have to be honest, at the time, I was feeling a little sorry for her ex because he seemed to be "trying". She knew better.)
Long story short, she was spot-on. Her ex remarried and pulled the same stuff again on his second wife, and he is now divorced, again. She got more therapy and has been happily married to her second husband for years, now.
