Codependency Support Group
Codependency is defined as someone who exhibits too much, and often inappropriate, caring for another person's struggles. A codependent person may try to change, or feel shame about their most private thoughts and feelings if they conflict with the other person's struggles. I have a co-worker who seems to be obsessed with me, even my boss noticed it. He used to spend every single morning for 30 minutes just constantly in my room. I could not get rid of him. We had to exchange personal numbers with the team, it was not an option, and I started getting personal, flirty messages from him at night, invitations for drinks, I never responded. It was so disgusting, he is my dad's age.
After several days of getting messages from him every night and morning, and refusing to answer, I texted him back, "Stop it, now! This behavior is unwanted and I'm not reciprocating this! I don't want personal messages!" He used to call me at home on the weekends to pretend that he was helping me get onboarded for work when I was out sick. Could hardly get the guy off the phone, so I blocked his number and told my boss too.
When I told my boss, she said, "Thank you for telling me," and said that she talked to him. He doesn't come to my room as much anymore, but during meetings he still sits across from me and stares with his mouth wide open and doesn't listen to my boss at all or the meeting topics...he just sits there and stares...she looks at him like she is going to slap him.
Now we're on vacation, so I got a LinkedIn request from him. I blocked him. He is SO disgusting. What a great way to stay on top of someone. Besides, I just graduated from college again and will be changing careers, he doesn't need to keep and eye on me and my activity. So disgusting. Why are people like this still working and not fired?

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

I would report this guy to HR. Since your boss is not doing anything to stop this guy.
You should not have to feel uncomfortable at your work. You need to set boundaries. Have to tell Human Resources about this. I know that might sound scary, but it really isn't, and it won't be hard. One quick phone call or e-mail to HR and then you'll be done with it. Take you 5 minutes total to get peace back at work.
You can do it. You are strong.
God Bless

The horrible thing about this is that I've been through it before in a severe way-twice. Ended up leaving both of those jobs. Unbelievable. The students we serve can't stand him.
