Hello I am new to this group I have a major prroblem with codepency I have a friend that I cant live without. I call her all the time sometimes I text her 20 to 30 times a day Sometimes I leave messages on her cell phone telling her to call me right back When she does not I get angery right now were not allwed to talk or see each other thanks to my mom . My mom said that I have to learn that I can't always be around her 24 hours a day or talk to her everyday. I am really missing her badly I dont know what to do. I can't function when I don't get to talk or see her we have spoken to each other in over a wekk I am starting to go crazy. Please help

This might not apply it is just a hunch. If you go to the website 5 languages of love and take the test--you will find out what it is you feel you need to feel loved. It sounds like your friend fulfills many of your needs. There may be other ways or other people that hasn't come into your awareness. If your mom is a healthy minded person her intentions might be in the right place. Learning to trust you is key.

I know what that's like. I've been feeling sort of the same way with someone. It's as if she has this control over my mind. I feel that it is obsession. If you are spiritually inclined, asking God in y our prayers to occupy that empty space that your friend fills can be helpful. It is no fun living so dependent on other people.
