I am relatively new to this board and I have recently been doing some research on codependency. I was just wondering if it is possible to help people for the wrong reasons? Helping people often makes people feel validated, so maybe for codependents it is not only a selfless act, but also a self-less one? For me, I measure my worth by what I do for others, so do you think that maybe I am doing it for the wrong reasons? I was going to try not doing any type of charity for a week just to see what impact it has on me...
