Codependency Support Group
Codependency is defined as someone who exhibits too much, and often inappropriate, caring for another person's struggles. A codependent person may try to change, or feel shame about their most private thoughts and feelings if they conflict with the other person's struggles. If you are on a journey towards self-love, this support group is for you. Join us and find others...
I actually have a right to say no?
I actually have a right to make mistakes?
I can be healthier than those around me...without feeling guilty?
Those things were simply not tolerated in my childhood.
Amazing!
Thanks for your post. The idea of life being about more than just survival is something I am desperate to get to.
I was trying to hang on to a Father because of his age (90yr).....but I now see that in a new light. When he continued to deliberately try to manipulate and guilt trip me, I let go. I am better for it. Co-dependent Crazy
To all of us, looking for strength, on this journey of right relationships with ourselves and others.
Who is Issuing this Bill of Rights? 1 and 14 sound 'off' --or is it just me?
I don't get the "should' in number one. I would edit #14 to say something like "You can trust God to help you learn life-lessons, no matter what circumstances you are in...if you are humbly seeking to choose better circumstances..."
It's interesting how it could also be applicable to a person in an abusive relationship.
I like it! I'm a very anal type, so I'm wanting them to be only 10 and in parallel structure so they are truly articulating nouns... but that's me being the grammar csar and wanting to edit to make it even stronger.
Keep up the good work!
I may add my own versions later, but I gotta scram for now!
