Codependency Support Group
Codependency is defined as someone who exhibits too much, and often inappropriate, caring for another person's struggles. A codependent person may try to change, or feel shame about their most private thoughts and feelings if they conflict with the other person's struggles. I hate it. I always feel like I'm letting someone down.

I don't necessarily think that taking pleasure in doing for others is bad.
How do we draw the line between giving and codependency? I find it's a very slippery slope, particularly with the people I tend to get involved with. In the beginning, I will do things, and give and really appreciate the other person. As time goes on though, the other person tends to not be satisfied with just that, and wants me to change other aspects of myself, compared me to others, or other things that make me uncomfortable. It always seems to go this way with me. I have trouble drawing boundaries sometimes because I don't want to be seen as suddenly not the giving and loving person they know.
This is something I really struggle with, and I have no answers for it. :(
