I can relate to you. I got divorced last year. I have 2 daughters, ages 9 and 17. I am codependent.
I have been to CoDa and now I go to Al-Anon. My brother has a huge alcohol problem. Being a member of Al-Anon is helping me. I have a sponsor, and I am working on my fourth step.
I hope you get the help that you both need and deserve!!!
Love,
heathercliff
P.S. That book, First Friends, sounds interesting and good. I want to read it. Thanks, Hamsteronawheel. Also, AsTimeGoesBy, my ex wanted me to dye my hair blonde, do special exercises, etc...to be what he wanted me to be. Your post hit me right between the eyes.
