Codependency Support Group
Codependency is defined as someone who exhibits too much, and often inappropriate, caring for another person's struggles. A codependent person may try to change, or feel shame about their most private thoughts and feelings if they conflict with the other person's struggles. Well I don't know where to start? I know this will sound really stupid, but I just learned of this condition, codependancy. Actually I had heard of it from my wife who had a couple of books on it , trying to deal with me...
I am diagnosed with complex ptsd. and have never understood why my feeling etc were not always what one would expect from ptsd.
I am 5 months sober after 35 years of trying to keep my emotions etc at bay. i guess the booze hid some of the symptoms.
While talking to a shipping clerk, lady, we some how got on the conversation of ptsd. Then she went on to describe this codependancy and one of the syptoms. creating a situation, good bad or, but she feeds on the "rush" from the responses, I thought I was going to crap myself. I got some therapist names etc. got home told my wife of 35 years, and she promptly brought out three books on the subject. I had never attributed what I have been experiencing my hole life as being the co dependant...
The therapist in the past just said I was born ultra sensitive.... What crap..
After reading the intro. on the first book my wife and I were totally floored.
It described me to the tee. I am so glad I really am not going mad. I am so fortunate to have found a woman with the patients and persaverance, to put up with all of meee.....
I haven't ahd a chance to read too much here yet, but it looks like I may finally be on the right road this time.
Be forewarned I have a shit pot full of questions, but so far it looks like you folks are real supportive of each other. i will apologise now if I should offend anyone by language or descriptive writings... I am here for help. I do speak truthfully from my heart. so don't get bent out of shape should I step on toes, it's not my entent... thanks for any and all future advise etc... dc

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
