Hang in there bro. Its a week now but I still think about smoking rock everey day. It is getting a little easyer but I guess its true that you have to take it one day at a time. I hope for the day where I just dont think about it.

..Im 20 years in this addiction and 40 days clean so if i can give up something i canhelp you i will..for me going to jail was enough for me!! but that came after 20 years of going back and forth to prison..a 7 day sentence was enough..you will know when it is enough!

After 27 years of use I have been completely sober for the last 3 1/2 years....my saving grace is that I finally found the will power with in and also walked into a NA meeting committed to end the vicious cycle. Stay strong and know there are others out there that have succeeded and are cheering you on to join the group of staying clean and enjoying life for the wrong reasons!!

Well,we never get cured.We do get CLEAN.I have managed to stay clean for 17 years through adapting the program of Narcotics Anonymous in my life.

I'm stopping in from the Alcoholism Support Group. I just joined 3 days ago to curb my drinking but I was also addicted to coke. Its been 5-6 years since I've touched it.

I got over it because of three things -- (1) my brother (who blew with all the time) went to jail after selling to an undercover cop (2) around the same time I realized that I was pregnant and totally fucking up my unborn baby. I had an abortion because I was just so scared about what I might have done to my baby. These two things really shocked me into realizing that I was screwing up my life (3) I stopped hanging out with people I knew who did what I did. And today, even if I wanted it, I wouldn't even know where to find it.

So maybe a little change in circumstances would help?

Don't beat yourself up in the meantime. It wont do any good.
