This may sound like an odd question, but can you explain to me what a crack addiction feels like? I'm struggling to understand what goes through Ben's head when he gets money or is trying to sell his things. I want to know what it's like--from the time the money is in your hand until your coming off it a day or so later. Reason being, we went to a water park with our kids about two weeks ago, and the whole time we were there, it felt as though Ben's body was there but not his mind or personality. He truly seemed like a shell of himself. He wasn't in a hurry to leave or anything, it was more like he was viewing everything from outside his body. My friend said it's because he can't really function without the drug at this point. Everything else is unfamiliar and uncomfortable. I'm just really trying to understand what he's going through and I feel like having insight into how his addiction works will help me. Thank you!
But there is one thing I would say give him a altimatum get help or get out . You have to think of you and your Children first and keep them safe . Giving up and walking away from Him should be your last move thats come's when he refuses to seek help. But I'm not saying you have to put up with his actions like I said yours and your kids safety comes first.
That being said I'm so thankful that my family never gave up on me and did just what I told you ( Get Help or Get Out) and they did stand by that . an addict will try you and see how far they can go and get away with it and hide it so you have to be strong and stand by your words He needs help!!! we will try anything to hide it. You need to look into your own support group near you it will help you understand more first hand from other victoms of addiction.
My Family got to a point with me where no one could trust me at all now just about 3 years later (clean and sober ) not only do they trust me I have my Life back in a way I never had before it took alot of Prayers and alot of hard work on my Part and I'm thankful someone gave me that altimatum as hard as it was for them it worked for me.
