This is an idea I've had for a little while and figured I may as well toss out to see if there's any interest. When I was in my first year of college as an English major, I joined a writer's group on Yahoo that was email-based. As well as a forum for anybody to share any kind of piece at anytime for the group to see and give feedback on, the main activity was that members would take turns sending out daily writing prompts for anyone else to take a stab on every day, which could be any random word or phrase. It was great exercise and, personally, I felt like the work I did for those prompts was as some of my best.

So, my idea is that we do much the same thing. We could outsource it to email or some other venue so that the forum here doesn't get overcrowded, and also so others could participate if we want to invite them. I know at least a few of you are writers, and maybe there are more out there who might be interested? As well as being a useful and fun skill for anyone to improve, I think as "cleftees" we can get a needed benefit from the practice expressing ourselves, and maybe the development of an awareness of our shared point of view.

Who's interested or has ideas for a good way to do this, other than email? We could also come up with a statement of purpose and some agreed-upon ground rules for interactions, much like Dailystrength has.
