After being in a hepatic coma last month, hubby complained yesterday of stomach pains and was vomiting. Could not hold anything down. No temp. Went to the ER yesterday. They took X-rays and blood work and said everything was OK. Had a slight fever when they sent us home. They should have admitted him due to the fever. Gave him a script for nausea. The ER doctor told him he could take ibuprofen or motrin, even though he knew of his condition. I did not give him any.
By about 10pm his temp was 101.8. Told him to take a warm bath temp went down to 100.5. By 1:30 was headed back to ER. GI doctor came in this morning and was going to drain fluid because he could hardly breath. Is going to check fluid for infection. He also has H-Pylori. Infection could also be in his blood. So things don't look so good. Also, took him of the lasix and spironolactone for now due to his kidneys being high. I guess they aren't working too well. Hospital called me about 4:00 this afternoon to let me know they transferred him to ICU. He was supposed to be transferred to a regular room.
My daughter will be going tonight, so will know more of what is going on. I can't go back due to the fact that I watch her kids after school.

My daughter is there now. The dr. told her there is only a 10% chance he will make in out of the hospital.
