Flu

I've had a sor throat/flu with a temp between 100.9 and 102.5 since yesterday. I had a swine flu vaccination, so I assume it's just a regular cold/flu. I have ESLD wich has been under controll with meds/vitamins for about a year and a half. I seem to remember my doc telling me that the flu is one of the things that can take me from healthy/feeling good to a bad meld score in a short period of time. Last time i wentin, my meld was around 9. I haven't had a paracenticis in over 18 months. I am experiencing some confusion with the fever.Can I wait til monday, or should I be on the way to the ER?

You should call your Dr. and ask what he wants you to do.
I had the Flu earlier in the season.
I was told to stay at home and rest unless my symptoms changed.
If things worsen I was to call my Dr. First. I was to go to the ER for Temp. over 101, increased confusion Or not being able to keep fluids down.
I did fine (felt like crap) but no new liver problems.

We live in south western Ohio and there has been a bad stomach flu going around here. My daughter had this at Christmas and it caused her to miss our Christmas gathering,it lasted about 4 days. I would watch the fever readings though. Are you by yourself or does someone live with you? It would be good if someone could keep an eye on you while you are sick.
