Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
I will make it through, I always do, but I sure am feeling the wear on my "stubborn" nick name and my ability to not fall into full victim.
I wish this disability process had a better foundation to make it easier for the people who need the disability, to get it, keep it, and not be pushed and pulled and thrown around by a messed up system, till we just can't see the light of day anymore. Disability is there for people like me, but they make the process almost impossible for anyone who hasn't the communication experience, and then wear you down with the, "You don't need it" crap.
I definitely must keep close spiritually or this one is going mess me up. I am so tired, and the pain is getting so bad these last 2 years again. It's getting to the point like it was one of the first years where I spent the whole year in bed. A whole year of my life in a bed is insane. I am only 51 yrs old and that year was back when I was in my early 40's.
It's just not right what this pain thing does to you. Can't take quite enough meds to make it go away or you won't be conscious anyway. There is no one thing, nor combination of things, I can do, to get more than an hour or so of relief where it's not so bad that you aren't thinking about it being there and needing to stop what ever you are attempting to do.
Recently, just waking up is too painful to want to deal with. I remember now what the last bouts/flare-ups were like. I try to forget and move on, keep positive and look for all the little things that filled my heart with joy in the day. Stay in the moment and survive, seems to be my way.
Well, I have to go now and listen to this disability guy with tons of info to help with the process, and attempt to fill out papers and call docs etc. Not to mention a load of laundry which is a huge deal these days.
Love to all of you. Prayers with Tipper as always. I will post this guys info. I don't where I came across it but it is good stuff.
In Love Light Truth, & Service,
'Stubborn' TerrieAnn
