Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
Deb, yes and thanks! I know she was trying to please and I appreciate that, it's just I specifically asked for someone who knew what they were doing. In fact when I got home I showed my husband how to curl with a flat iron and he got it on the third try. I learned by watching and can't figure how someone trained could not know how to do that?
I told her 3 times BIG curls and she kept taking small pieces of my hair. But I appreciate your comments and she was very nice and I'd talk with her any time, just not let her touch my hair!!
My thought would have been to Deal with the stylist tomorrow...but don't punish yourself or your husband by not allowing a good evening to happen because of bad hair!
I am sorry you missed the party. I hope you feel better tomorrow.
HUGS
it's easy for any of us to say that we would have gone, but we weren't there. i know that if i felt self-conscious enough, i wouldn't have. no way.
especially when meeting new people ... and when you're not used to going out all the time anymore, it's a bigger deal than usual.
i think you should get your money back. you weren't asking to have your hair chemically straightened or anything ridiculously difficult - you wanted LARGE CURLS. hello! i could have done it for you, WITH my pain, AND my lack of hair schooling. it's ridiculous that your night should have been ruined like that. i'm so sorry.
i remember once my parents were going on a night cruise ... some dinner and dancing thing, and my mom was really excited. she had her hairdresser do her hair, only she somehow messed it up and BLEACHED her roots blonde. only i mean bleach blonde, like white. and there was NOTHING they could do in time. it was hilarious. god love her, she still went. i probably would have to, if i'd had the seven kids she did and few chances to get out like that. it all got fixed eventually, but for a moment there i thought someone was going to seriously PAY, haha!
xoxo, misa
