Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...

I've been reading a really good book "Your Soul's Plan" it's about the plans we made before we were born. It's helping me to see my purpose it's hard to believe that I chose this body this family and all the abuse and health issues. I haven't learned much from all this but I know who my true friends and family are now.
Wish we lived closer I'd enjoy the hell out of getting to know you better.
Hugs, Marci
Did a man write dat der book?
Unless someone LIVED / LIVES with CP...they are clueless about what your words really meant to you.
HUGS my friend.
My best freimd/love of my life/one who knows me best in every other way......doesn't "get" it....
I finally accept that those who haven't lived this simply cannot.
They don't have the only frame of reference for it....living in it.
Hugs..jc
First, is How can I live my life to the fullest when It hurts to be awake, Not surprised you would say that
Second, I do live a little because the other part of living is hard
Third, I know what is coming my way a night of pain and a morning of agony.
I know it is a little catty of me but some times they just do not get it and would it hurt them to say I am sorry you are going through a hard time right now I hope you feel better. Why is that so hard to say
I agree that unless you live this kind of life no one really understands it. Their words sound encouraging to me.
I'm sorry it hurts you. Look for pain articles to put up on fb, maybe they'll start to get a clearer picture of you and your life. Tell them about YOU! It's your wall.
Comforting hugs,
Toni
from the replies, it doesn't seem like they do, maybe they think you were having a normal bad day, not a CP bad day...
sorry either way.
I shouldn't feel hurt, but it sure would have been nice to hear one of them say, 'When can I stop in for a visit?'
Outside of the time I have to work, I'm very isolated because of the shape I'm in.
Enough whining and unrealistic expecations from me.
Can I stop in for a visit?
Hug..jc
Ah well...
Peace!
- my son died
- my mom had a stroke
- my mother-in-law died
- my dad had a heart attack
- our dogs were poisoned and killed
- my husband lost his job (due to the depression from losing his mother and son 3 weeks apart)
Then, our landlord decided to move back to our house so we had to move. I posted on FB about m frustration. Someone actually wrote back and said, "You need to try to be more positive. You might be inadvertently causing these bad things to happen because you don't have a better attitude."
There are no words to express my anger. At that point, the fact that I was still getting out of bed in the morning and functioning at all was a pretty good testament to my attitude.
I hate Facebook.
I agree with what everyone else said...it's a sad truth, I wish "normals" could/would get it but I just don't see it happening.
My own thought here.....WE ARE THE NORMALS....we know/believe/understand how cruel life can be. Those that don't are less than "normal".
I wish no one had to endure what we do and if wishes were pennies we'd all be millionaire's.!!!!!!
May everyone have at least a reasonably good day!!!!
gentle hugs..
