Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
I also like to play solitaire on the computer, crochet and take a nap !
I will go from reading to watching mindless TV to enjoy watching my two cats play also.
I'm alone a lot so it's hard for me to get out. I am happy when a good friend has time to stop over and visit.
I also get online and feel that by helping others, it helps me also. I've been in support groups for a while now but switched from the one who needs a lot of support to one that just wants to help others and due to my spiritual beliefs, I feel that God gave me a new purpose out of all this pain.
We all have gifts and need to use them to the best of our abilities. Many things I just can't do anymore but I also love to write poetry.
Anything to get our minds off of the pain even if it's only for a short time.
Also to take my mind off of it. I play with the kids, (it ususally cheers me up) come here to DS and talk about it, help others on DS, help my sick friends that are not on DS, talk to my shrink, do yoga, read, watch sit coms. And when its really bad i lay in bed and get really warm and do my relaxation tenniques untill i can fall asleep. Your not in pain while your sleeping. I nap when my 2 year old naps alot of the time and pace myself

I find that I am in pain weather I do anything or not and sometimes just getting my mind off of it will help. I love to sew and quilt so I guess I am pretty crafty. When I went on disability I put together a craft room and it is right of from the living room so it is nice and I dont have to go downstairs to do things. I just turned a room down there and put my son in it and since he is a teenager now he did not mind the privacy.
