My son, Jack, has been an avid fan and user/player of Minecraft for quite a while... for most of that time, it was the bane of our existence as he was constantly focused on Minecraft rather than on his school work or studying... if he wasn't playing it, he was talking about playing it, in GREAT detail, to Lynn or me or anyone else who who just happened to wander by...
He finally convinced me to play it one day... and WOW... I really enjoyed it, especially when I realized that Minecraft is uncannily able to draw my focus so completely that I've actually been able to "forget" most of my pain while I've been playing it...
There's something satisfying and strangely hypnotic in breaking those little blocks of materials apart or laying them down to create structures or landscapes or pretty much whatever you like...
Just thought I'd put that out there for whatever it's worth... now I'm most likely going to log in and play some Minecraft... or maybe I'll just veg out with Netflix... Tough call! :)
Peace,
Dave
My work concists of a small part time Management and Bookkeeping job/then I have a few Private Accounting Clients to keep up with. So I have to meet with them once a week and make sure all is still running like well.
If my son is home we spend the weeken out fishing/hiking through the woods during the days, and watching movies and playing board games at night.
The pain is there, I can tell the exact minute I need to take my LA Med, I can open my eyes in the morning let the pain wash over from different parts, look out the window and know whether I'll need to use BT meds that day. It's always there....but trying to and in fact making myself stay busy in spite of it is the thing that allows me to be able to survive.
