Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...

I kept bugging her and she go tired of me and did the test to see how my vit D levels were.
I got a phone call telling me that I was way low on vit D and she was putting me on 50,000 IU a week for a month and they I should get re tested. Within the week my leg pain was gone. gone gone.
Thank god!
My levels turned around and I now take 1000 IU daily.
I live in the pacific NW and we dont have much sunshine. I had another flair of pain and she retested and again put me on 50,000 IU again now Im back on 1000 IU. Im wondering if I should just stay on a higher dose. But then I would miss the fun on getting the pain back and being re-tested and all the other stuff.
Also, I had been reallly tired. My Dr. kept putting it off again as being overweight and fibro. She decided to test my B-12 and guess what. Im low...... Now I take 1000 IU of that too and it has really helped. I wont run any marathons but I do feel better.
Boy, we really have to fight for what we want. We with chronic pain dont have the fight in us a lot of times and we end up getting pushed under the rug. Im gonna keep fighting. I cant keep living like this. Its just not living at all.
