After several pain injections, spirituals in back, knees, shoulder and hands, I'm now taking a big step of Faith for RADIOFREQUENCY NEURTOMY FOR FACET & SACROILIAC JOINT PAIN! My Anesthesiologist aka Pain Doctor will be performing a new technique to hopefully have me halfway normal.


I had to stop working altogether February 2014 when just plain standing, bending or sitting causes me excruciating pain. My lower back & SI joints are riddled with Stenosis, desiccated discs. Needless to say, I have needed a full left knee replacement for the past 7 yrs. After my Meniscus tear surgery in 2010, I'm terrified of going through with it. I've heard from several seniors it's more painful rehab from knee replacement vs hip replacement.

Hi, welcome to the Board. I'm not sure what you mean by "sprittuals" in the back, knees, etc....

Make sure you Dr. goes over the Success rates and what happens if you have a failed procedure. When actually creating heat lesions on nerves it can be a great success with pain being suspended for up to a year, but if the procedure fails it can be a very painful experience. I'd make sure your Dr. explains both sides to you very well, so you know all the options going into the Procedure.

Hello Nanayaa . I read our post and could feel your pain. When more than one part of our body hurts it is so hard to explain at least for me it feels that way. Sometimes when they ask does it feel achy burning stinging stabbing I am not even sure how to reply because the pain just is at times indescribable for me. I am curious about RADIOFREQUENCY NEURTOMY FOR FACET & SACROILIAC JOINT PAIN can you please tell me more about this?
