Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...

After 3 to 4 months, I could feel it no longer working for me so I would have to go off of it slowly until I was off of it completely... Then I would stay off of it for a week or two and then start going back on it again one pill at a time until I reached the Doctors limit.
It seemed to be the only way I could get the medication to work for me... My body would build up such a tolerance to it that it was either go off of it and clean my system out or try different drugs which I really didn't want to do.The Percocet kinda worked but only for a few months..(I also am an Epiliptic so I try and stay away from taking pills if I can)
That was over 7 years ago and now I am taking something called Methadone... I have to do the same thing with it to... After 3 or 4 months, go off of them slowly, clean my system out for a week or two and then go back on the pills 1 pill at a time..
If the medication works for you, stick with it!!! If you have anymore questions or just want to talk, let me know...
Good Luck with whatever you decide to do :)
