JC, i keep thinking about this and not doing anything since i don't trust anyone in my family. i will give the info to my best friend. i know he'd never snoop.

i'd certainly want to know or my friends here to know if anything happened.

you don't HAVE to give them DS info...you could gice them someones email address...that's one of the things I did.

I will leave instructions with my mate or my sister. If they can't do it, I am shit out of luck. Unfortunately, Ah, fortunately, I do not foresee anything happening in the near future.

I have been worried about Stinke. Has anyone heard of her? Has she dropped out of DS? I hope she is alright.. Perhaps she wants to reincarnate as someone else? After all when you get moniker like that... It is hard to let it go. As much as I love it, always makes me smile. You know she has a sense of humor and that is most important!

There is no one that I trust with my personal info. No one in my family even knows the medications that I take. I would not want them to read what I have written here. So I don't know how I would accomplish this.

Another approach we use in bipolar is to have a phone buddy and post it on the profile. That person can actually phone the person. I don't have one right now. I have a lot of friends with my phone number, but they aren't active on DS so you couldn't contact them.

This sounds like a good plan. I have thought about this. I will talk to my husband about it. Thanks!

This is a great idea JC. I need to find someone who I trust enough to do this. I have one person in mind who has done it before, so im sure she wouldn't mind doing it again. I'll also give my dad the info as i know he wouldn't snoop on here and would just post on my behalf. i think its great to do this!

Too many times I seen someone disappear never to be heard of again. I have to hope that they simply left and decided to not sign in again, the alternative is depressing.

But I have to say I would prefer to know of the fate of those I have come to care a great deal about and would hate to leave them feeling any anxiety over mine as well. Which is why I have made sure my DH has a way to contact you all here if needed.

I've thought about this from time to time. When I went into a coma several years ago, my husband had no idea how to access the lupus forum I was on. They had no idea what happened until I reappeared several weeks later.

I'm going to show my son how to access the CP group just in case.
