This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...

Oh yes bed. I have a queen side bed just for myself. It is a sleep number which I like cause I can change from soft to firm depending on if my back or shoulder etc are bothering me. I keep my Mp3 player next to me in case I like to listen to music. I have books. My romance novels so I can have sex through vicariously through the character in the book and I don't get hurt!lol. I am single. I have my lap top next to my bed on a craft table in case I was to surf the internet. Pens in pencil on bedside table with subject notebooks. one for jornaling, another for my geneaolgy I have been doing for years. My cell phone in case I want to call someone up and talk. My landline is in the other room and it stays there when I don't want to be bothered or am in pain. Leave a message I say. I have a calendar in there to remind me of my appointment and when I need to call and make my medical cabs so I can get there. It is on the wall near the bed so I can see it. I put any special b days on it. I keep generic cards and some stamps in my beside table with a drawer to write out snail mail. Cause my neices and nephew still appreciate a few bucks on their birthday. I have a glue gun, some beds in small storage see through bins and some stretchy cord do make necklaces and braclets. I crochet but I don't do that much because it hurt s my elbows too much. I have one those white craft tables with the bins in the corner instead of side table on the other side of my bed. That is my craft corner. The other side as I said is my stamps, cards, paper, pencils, crayons, coloring pencils. Not best at drawing but like to color in coloring books. They have some adult ones you can buy on Amazon.
Lets see. I also have my meds in the bottom of the bedside table. I do get up for water to go to the bathroom. My tv is in my living room. I have netflix on laptop so I can watch movies and put dvd's in and watch them. I have music on lap top if want to listen outloud. If not i have the Mp3. I do stretches in bed. my physical therapist showed me. I do them in the morning when I am the tightest. I also eat on craft table if I don't go sit at table. I am sure there is more. Sometimes it gets crazy in my bedroom. I would keep my games in there if I had a family or kids to play with. I have cable and tape shows when I don't feel well enough to watch them that night. I have a comfy couch. I read in my room. Like I said my bed is home base. I also do word searchs. I don't understand sudoko or play video games.
I can do almost anything in my bed. I've even done my stretches there. My bed is my haven. As much as I want to get out and do things, there is nothing like my bed when I need it.

S lot of you seem to have the same setup as I do..
I'm getting around more than a while back....but..everything is set up so that I can function from my bed when necessary.
