Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
I guess...gratitude for this site.
You're right, our common denominator is pain. I'm so glad you're still around honey. I know how bad the pain is. I'm dealing with a lot more lately myself and being alone, I'm grateful for the friends and this site.
Hope you are having some good days in between the bad ones.
Love and hugs,

"Iron Road" is an interesting way of describing it. You post is a good one. Why do we seek people who are in chronic pain? I think it is because no one else can possible understand our life. It helps to share our experiences with each other, because we will relate to some of them and realize that we are not as crazy as maybe we feel.
Don't misunderstand me. I know I am crazy as a bed bug, but not as bad as my family thinks. Many families stay in denial, so finding people who understand, care and offer support is something most of us need, so we can hang on another day.
I have learned a lot, and many friends here have thrown me a rope when I fell too far into that dark pit.
I wish us all continued support.

Today, may we have the energy of our youth, hours of wonder, pain that vanishes and so much laughter that we laugh ourselves silly!
Once I came out of the bushes and on to the site, you guys taught me to talk about the pain and not only was it alright, you encouraged me to talk about it. And you understood. What price to put on that?
I belong to a board now with the people I've grown close to. I talk to friends on the phone. Not just about pain, but any and everything, lol. Lots of laughter. It feels good when I can get out of my own head and lend support too. The Iron Road? Maybe. But it makes it a tad bit easier knowing I don't have to walk it alone.
" like a pig at a watch"....
My laugh out loud for the day!
..it's clear we all agree that...hard as this road is...
It's made somehow easier to travel with each other.

Ha! I can't wait to use that expression,
My husband is always coming out with such " southern" sayings.
I love your vague topics, they're often some of the best ones! I don't find myself around much anymore, I check in a few times a day but read more than write. I use the excuses that many do I guess; I'm tired from working all day, I need to get some cleaning done, I'm just too down to communicate, etc. But it is nice to be able to come and read and see that there's still a place for us non-normies.
I miss many of the old timers, we used to joke and talk and have fun and now we're either too busy, in too much pain, the depression is too bad, or we just burned out.
I miss you my purple fuzzy footed friend!!!!
Kat
You want me.
