Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
I knew that I over did it yesterday.
I sure hope that you get some relief !!!
Cindi
I hope both you and Cindi get some relief.
I know the pain you go through daily but i also know that fibro will not kill you, some people don't have that luxury. I don't mean to be condescending, and i hope this helps you change your thinking behind this desease we have.
My prayers and best wishes go out to you, Lisa xx
I also realize that there are always people out there in worse shape than me, I often volenteer at the children's cancer ward at our local hospitals. Seeing the strength and courage that those children display is life changing.
And I have always had a very high tolerance for pain but more and more lately I am finding myself pushed to my limits and beyond. I'm just struggling at this point in time and trying to get through it all....

One day, when my kids were about 4 years old, they were outside playing. It was a beautiful summer day, not too hot with a nice breeze.
My daughter was doing her "x-peer-ments" in her wheelbarrow full of water. She was throwing in apples and flowers and rocks. She had the bottle of almost gone dish soap. She had pots and pans and collanders. She was like a little pasty red headed witch in the yard.
My son is having a grand ol time. He has on his cowboy boots, his belt and my dads' reacher as his "gun" (you know, I was one of those new age moms that did not believe in buying guns for my child...he made his own LOL)
He was running around, shooting grass and apples. He was threatening his sister that he was gonna take her "x-peer-ments" away from her. Typical big brother stuff
The next thing I see is my son, chasing the cat, with only his cowboy boots and belt on. No underpants! I go down in the yard (thank God we lived in the country!) and find out what is going on.
I approached my son, with his pasty naked baby butt running past me and ask "what are ya doin honey?"
Well... He had figured out that he could "aim" when he was going potty. HEHEHE
So, he was chasing the cat trying to pee on it. Oh my dear! I was shocked and trying desperately not to laugh
Of course, I stopped him and told him the importance of being kind to animals and not to pee on them. Also, of course, he could not in any way get the cat because how far can an almost 4 year old pee?
He immediately said "saw-we kiddy" and went and pet the cat. He was willing to put his underpants back on as well.
However, being the "new age" mom that I was, I decided that it was only natural for a boy to want to "aim"...so, I used it to my advantage
I put ping pong balls in the potty. They don't flush you know. He got to "play" when he went potty and, as mom, I got to help him make sure that all his mess was in the toilet!
My son, who is almost 18, still talks about how cool it was to try and hit the ping pong balls when he was little. His friends that he tells the story to all get jealous and say "I wish my mom would have done that!"
I am also happy to report that he is a huge animal lover and to this day, feels bad about chasing the kitty.
I have to tell you... there is no site in the whole world funnier and cuter than a fat little baby bottom running through the yard with only cow boy boots and a belt on!
Kris, I am sorry you are in this spot. You worked hard and your body is playing revenge.
You must be very strong to have accomplished so much after such a set back at 10. Pull out the good memories to pull you through this hard time.
Prayers and positive energy being sent you way. Hugs -RJ
that is great. I used cherrieos cereal for one to aim. He wanted to sit the rest of his life. When a younger one was training, we told him that he could get one of those prizes that the other got only if he used the potty standing up.
First day home with my son. My 5 year old daughter was so excited! She wanted to help with everything. So I was changing his first diaper and she was sitting on the bed. When I took it off she gasped and started shaking her head, she stated" Well..... I guess God glued that thing on there!' and left the room still shaking her head. :)
From the mouth of babes!
Hope you are feeling better! Hugs -RJ
I'm doing the same, but I actually had FUN yesterday. A tree in your house is not a laughing matter. God sure does, however, have a great sense of humor!
Lets see: what have I learned today?
That the Olympic pool is kept at a constant temperature between 77 and 82 degrees....
That a couple is building a 70,000 sq. foot house with 7, yes 7, kitchens. And a 1000 ft. shoe closet- that's bigger than the apt. we live in!
And they don't have any kids- just the two of them. They are building a sushi kitchen- a kitchen just for sushi! Obviously, they don't see the rest of us struggling along in teeny, tiny homes, but are grateful we at least have a roof over our heads!
Hope you feel better soon, and remember that God never gives us more than we can handle. It could be worse....and it is for some people. Thankfully, not me.
(((Hugs)))
Sandy
"What are you doing?" I yelled. Calmly he replied "Shooting for distance".
