Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
Maybe...a window has opened?

Thank you so much for sharing your story. What you endured as a child I can relate to, and I too have worked hard to make my like work, only to face many set backs. So I can so relate to your story. And I also fervently agree that sharing here on DS makes a huge difference. I felt so alone and isolated before finding this group. It is just difficult for others in your life to understand truly what we go through.
You have a beautiful command of words and I enjoy reading your posts. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Hugs, Cathy

We all need money that is a fact of life but it does not have to define us and when we are a couple or if you live with a family member there is nothing wrong with the women/SO making the money I have my whole married life brought home more money then hubby even do with SSI. Family is what you make it and there is no need to have keeping up with the jones. It can cause stresses and if I knew the answers I would tell you all on how and what to do.
I find I am at my happiness when I am in my sewing room for 2 years after my accident I did not do anything I had a inch of dust on my machine but one day I got my butt in there and it does something in my mind it makes me feel good about myself so I encourage anyone to do what they love dont give it up.
So glad to hear from you, and the good news of being able to do something you love again. I have to say that you are not only an artist but a writer with a poets heart as well. You definately have a gift with words.
Sending hugs, love, and comfort.

Cale... I also admire the way that you are able to express your thoughts and feelings in the way that you write...
Maybe you should consider *both* art AND writing for any future endeavors :)

Only she could not remember her past to deal with it, still it haunted her. You have survived & with all life had dealt stand tall & refuse to give in. God bless you & your wonderful wife. No wonder you strive to be such a devoted father.
As for you drawing, good for you. I'm sure it brings you some kind of peace. What a gift. You body may be broken at times but your mind & determination are a beautiful thing.
God bless & keep up the good work.

We instinctively knew your greatness before you wrote this post, but now that you have, we get where it comes from. THose of us on the hard knocks of life cringe at the saying 'that which doesn't kill you makes you stronger". We just wait for the other shoe to drop.
Society bows down to people who make one great act of entertaining specialness, (actor, singer, entertainer), but the real heros are people like you who spread out thousands acts of greatness and don't even know it. To be able to love and receive love, regardless of what you have gone through.......is huge. To take responsibility for your actions and move foreward.....is huge. The time you have spent on this forum and the lives you have touched.....is huge.
How fantastic that you have rediscovered drawing and art. Art has always helped me keep my sanity as it is a place of no time. Almost like another world where there is only me in suspention. I think you know what I mean.
Surviving under Grace is the best revenge to what life has thrown at you, and you are an inspiration. So glad to have you in my life.
