Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
Hope this helps,
Jenna
I am sipping a cherry pepsi, hoping it won't make me more nauseous. I wish I had a Milky Way! Even nauseous, I could try that, lol. But it seems the sinus pressure is lessening a bit and the pounding in my temples isn't too bad at the moment. I'm most worried about the nausea now, but hoping that just sipping the pepsi will help.
I feel awful that my 2 year old is so sick, but they sure have better attitudes! If I was coughing like J was, I would be crying in pain. He keeps saying "Ow" when he coughs, and is pushing on his temples. But he has to cough up that crap, and as kids they just swallow it and get a stomach ache!
He's hanging on me and driving me a bit nuts but he's so sick, he deserves extra attention. I just hate that at his age he can't take anything for cough. He has his inhaler, but that doesn't stop the cough. Of course, he coughs b/c of the phlegm, so I'm hoping he learns to spit it out at some point.
2 and a half hours till DH gets home. I'm relying on Sesame Street and Disney to get us through the day.
Thanks again- if my stomach would settle I'd sure feel better! Off to get J some ibuprofen, poor baby. I hate hearing him cough- it's so hard! I'd take it all if I could. But as I said, they're sure better about being sick than adults are! I'm dreaming of my bed and J is laughing at Elmo and trying to do Mickey's Clubhouse Dance! ;)
It's amazing how quickly that worked! I took the tylenol, the sudafed, and drank a cherry Pepsi, and an hour later I'm feeling better. I wish I could say the same for my son. He had his medicine and fell asleep, which he never does during the day. But he needs the sleep to get better so I'm hoping he sleeps till my DH gets home. But if not, I'm feeling MUCH better.
Thanks for the help! I'm going to stock candy bars in the freezer from now on, just for the migraines! ;)

You may want to have on hand some Excedrin, just regular Excedrin is fine. If you check the ingredient list for Migraine Excedrin and Regular Excedrin they are identical. So why pay extra when you don't need to?
I add Benadryl to my Excedrin and find that it is really effective. You can but it quite cheaply at Costco or Walmart. Benadryl was used in the emergency room for one of my migraines and was extremely effective. I have been using Excedrin as my drug of choice for years for headpain. One caution is that it is hard on stomachs so be careful and take with food. I have several friends that also use Excedrin on a daily basis. Because of the Washington State strict guidelines concerning narcotics and CP patients. The combination of Benedryl and Excedrin allows me to maintain my headpain without the use of narcotics. Though, I will fully admit there are times when I could use them. But it is the best I have.

Lately we have been dealing with sinus & colds one right after the other.
The pharmacist recommends Mucinex D & motrin.
Worked for my hubby & I.
Now we'll see my daughter boyfriend has it but thus far its working OK for him.
I feel like a parrot repeating but I use the high end essential oils by Young Living.
Love them for this type of deal, My friend bought me a diffuser for my Bday & now I diffuse the oils when anyone is sick.
Wonderful for little ones, with the right oils it can help the wee little noses.
I do not envy you with the wee one, but glad your feeling better.
Lets hope this passes soon but just in case get your hubs to have what you need in the house.
God bless, Sammy
