Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
It seems that my purpose, that God has given me, is to take care of people. I guess I had dreams of having a real life like I see others living, but that has never been my life.
I started a gratitude book trying to put down one positive thing a day. Sometimes all I can come up with is that "I am still above the green".
I am grateful that I have been able to help others through their journeys.
The bitterness is not envy of others, just saddness that I know I will never have a regular life. I try very hard to keep the bitterness and anger away from me because I know it will only make all this sickness worse. So I try to focus on thankfulness for each upright moment.
It is one tough battle only second to pain control. -RJ

i also know that step by step struggle - there were 8 to get in the building, 32, i think, to get to he apt. ouch, ouch...i guess they don't want us to do stairs on here!!
Where we lived before had 14 stairs to the upstairs. I fell down them twice. Tried to decide if I should live on the first floor, where the ktchen is, or the upstairs where the bathroom is.
Fixed it by getting a mini fridge for my bedroom! LOL!
Seriously though, it's just human nature to feel bitter from time to time. I try to remember that healthy people's problems are big to them. Can't be too mad at them for that.
I, too, try to remember what I'm grateful for. It balances out the bitter feelings.
