Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
the other part is funny. i think we all do that or, at least, i do! with all that new vegetation in PR my allergies were fine except once rainy season came and it got so moist and mildewy. maybe a bubble!
It does sound like an Aura which is very active for some people in spring. Pain doesn't always happen, but if it does, or starts, put a very cold wet facecloth over your eyes and forehead, or teatowel with an icepack on your forehead. That should help to what you are already doing.
Hope there is no pain.
So far I've been in a sitting position for 10 minutes and need to eat SOMETHING with all those meds. My biggest concern is acid reflux. (Does it ever end?) But I took my meds so hopefully I can eat a very small amount (I'm easily full) and lay back and watch tv a bit more.
If the sparks come back or the taste in my mouth that signals a migraine, I'll blank out the room, turn on the fan and burry my head. But I really think a small amount of food will help. It won't be here for 30 minutes, so by then I should know if I'm going to be OUT or okay.
I have to admit, I am usually trying not to cry at this point but the sparks helped me! If I hadn't seen them AND felt weird (as often happens) I wouldn't have taken meds to prevent the headache. Now I know (I hope) that I can prevent it if I hurry with the meds.
I'm also wondering if like Serenity mentioned, mildew might be to blame. It's been snowing and raining off and on all week and I've spent a lot of time in the basement. It's VERY clean but you can't get it 100%. Enigma- thanks for the suggestions. I'm thinking it's over, but I've been wrong before. And I've got enough troubles w/o having migraines, too!
the mildew thing can be really bad. i bought those jars of moisture absorbers - mine would last about 2 weeks there, but they help.
hope it stays at bay!
