Have any of you guys ever had a hernia in the stomach. I have a hard lump in my stomack on the left side that kind of hurts when I press onto it. It is where I used to inject my insulin for the past two years, and I also injected Lovenox for two weeks into the same area. I'm worried because I did some heavy grocery shopping 3 days after surgery. I was listing heavy bags of food and I lifted a box of cat litter not even two weeks after surgery. I'm afraid I might have messed something up. Would a hernia be hard as a rock? I didn't know not to lift anything heavier than a gallon of milk. Doc was reluctant to write me off of work for a month and I read that it can take up to 2 months before you can return to work on a physically deanding job. Nonetheless, I will be returning to work after 1 month. I had to pull teeth to get the doc to write me a letter. You'd think they would do this as a courtesy. I kept on telling him that I get no financial gain from missing work, I just don't want them to give my job away to someone else. I have also been sleeping on my side a lot. It is the only way I can sleep. Maybe this has caused an issue. The lump is not near any of the incesion sights. I aso strain a lot because 3 weeks after going normally from the surgery, my constipation is back with a vengeance. I bounce back and forth beteen weeks of normal movelents and then being completely locked up. I'm barely going again even on 300 mgs of Magnesium Citrate. On a good note, I was able to eat an entire pepperoni pizza without getting sick. I am using OX Bile 500 mgs and Digestive Gold digestive enzymes to help me break down and process fats. I'm not going to be one of those people who can't eat any decent foods after GB removal. The pizza was 150 grams of fat and I did not need nausea meds or anything other then the OX Bile and digestive enzymes. But now back to my healthy diet. Been living on Bananas, Apples, baked Cod fish, low fat ham sandwiches, low fat soups, and boneless skinless chicken breast stir fry. All made in the oven with water to sweat down the veggies. No oil and WOK. It's a completely new way of life for me lol. I also war celery sticks with fat free cream cheese to help produce more bile. Bitter foods are good at doing this. I don't want to eat pizza every day, just two times a month and no more MacDonalds. Tonight it;s 1 apple, 1 banana, 1 small baked cod, and two veggie burgers without the bun. Veggie burgers taste just as good as beef burgers and they are very healthy for you.

If a hernia gets trapped outside the abdominal wall and can't be reduced back inside, it can be serious.
What your describing could also be a blockage in your intestines or irritated scar tissue from the injections...it could be a number of things.
Your best bet would be to go to your Dr. and see what's going on.

I get lil lumps sometimes under the area's in my thigh where I do my B12 injections, I tend to use the same spot on either thigh, but sometimes forget to keep track of which thigh I use each week.
