gordos4 you can always speak with any pharmacist about Lyrica.
Everyone reacts to meds in different ways. It does sounds scary.
Is this the first time?

Please keep us posted. Essential hand tremors is possible, this doesn't sound like that.

Thank you for the replies. I have always been a nervous, shaky person, but have never had tremors & shakiness like this before. My grandmother died of Parkinsons, I am afraid of that.

I only get shaky when my blood sugar goes under 65. I have never had shaking hands for any other reason. How long have you been on the Lyrica?

I think it's the Lyrica. DId you just begin taking it recently?

I had horrible tremors and shaking arms, hands and fingers on both Lyrica and Celexa that began after 8 days of starting each drug separately, and steadily got worse and on the 8th day, I rested as in stopped the drugs. In fact, as a harpist, it ruined my playing for about 11 months and also the ability to type even crappy, and I type fast normally. I couldn't even get my hands to focus over the keyboard much less get my fingers to type OR pluck a particular darned harp string! It was 3 months before the hard tremors to go away, then It took over a year for the mild tremors to go away, and at times today, I still get them but they are mild and do not affect my music playing or typing like they did.

It's been 2 years now.

SO, go in and tell the MD you can't take those 2 drugs because you are a musician and typist. Whadda ya think they are gonna say? My MD said keep taking it and the side effects will go away...but Doctor, you don't understand! This is MY life you're meddling with.

Kittiekats I have been taking it for about 5 months, but no regularly, just when the pain is unbearable & Ibuprofen wasn't cutting it. I was only taking maybe 4-5 a week. The last few days have been really bad, so I was taking it every day. I quit day before yesterday. I am going to ask my MD for something different. I cant take Celebrex, I had a bad reaction to it. Ibuprofen eats my stomach up.
Im glad you were able to return to your music. I love the harp.
