Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
Does the toe have fever? Is it burning pain, or stabbing pain? Even if you could see a doc about it, the doc would, more than likely, give you naproxin (alieve) or motrin (ibuprophen) and tell you to come back in two weeks if it's not better.
Do you think wrapping the toe, and taping it to the 4th toe might help? I'm mentally going through all of my "dr. mom" remedies that I used on my kids.
It may be arthritis, so if you try aleive or motrin, keep taking it faithfully for at least 8 weeks before you give up on it.
Whatever you try, be sure to write it in a pain journal. When it's there in black and white, you may be able to spot a pattern that could help you diagnose it yourself.
It's sad, but most of the time we have to be our own doctor anyway.
Fingers crossed for you Rex.
I agree with keesha try some ibuprofen and wrap that toe up. buy some store brand and save yourself some money, it's all the same! a pharmacist pointed that out to me one day when I was going to buy Aleve.
try the soak in baking soda water too. i'm so curious about that i'm going to have to try it somewhere on my body! baking soda is almost as handy as duct tape lol!
I've broke so many of my toes I have a few lopsided ones too. I've been told I have arthritis in them now. I wrap mine up and put heat on them, feels good for awhile.
hope u get to feeling better red
Hugs & God Bless
