Is that even though Neurontin and Lyrica are similar, they must work slightly differently at the cell membrane level.
People who are on Neurontin for a while, the nerves get "used" to that way, and when you introduce the new Lyrica, either it doesn't get "in" the same, perhaps the Neurontin blocks it, or the nerves just have to "learn" to use the Lyrica
slightly differently. In other words an adjustment period occurs.
These drugs are not identical, and the body tends to "get used to things" and readjust etc. It does this with many other types of drugs too.
You really need to ask you Dr. or Pharmacist about the amount of Folic Acid to take. I looked at 2 supplements that had Folic Acid in them, they both dosed 6 mgs. per day, that would be 6000 mcgs. You really don't want to be taking the wrong amount of meds, any meds even supplements. Diabetics especially break things down differently and it can be dangerous with some substances. So please give your pharmacist a call before just taking a random amount.
I'm not sure if they gave you an amount for the Vit. D but a normal amount is 2,000 I.U. per day. My body does not absorb Vit. D naturally any more so I have to take 6,000 I.U. a day with a booster of 50,000 I.U. every other week. See we're all different depending on our medical conditions and we have to take these meds how our Dr.'s instruct us to.
Take care,
Lat
